YORK, PA (June 12, 2019) – RKL LLP today announced that firm Partner Wendy M. Lakatosh, CPA, is one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2019 “Women of Influence.” This annual award program honors the midstate’s most dynamic female leaders making an impact on their profession and community.
“We congratulate Wendy on this well-deserved recognition from the Central Penn Business Journal,” said Edward W. Monborne, RKL CEO. “Wendy is a trusted advisor to many midstate businesses and she pays her experience forward through active and engaged mentorship of team members throughout our firm.”
As a Partner in RKL’s Audit Services Group, Lakatosh serves the general assurance needs of clients, primarily in the manufacturing and distribution industries. She also leads the firm’s Employee Benefit Audit Practice, helping companies and organizations manage their fiduciary responsibilities and compliance requirements.
Lakatosh plays a key role in the firm’s continued growth and success, thanks to her industry expertise and visible engagement in the Greater York community. In addition to her business development efforts and client service excellence, Lakatosh also prioritizes relationship-building with the firm’s young professionals. This commitment to mentorship led Lakatosh to co-found the RKL Women’s Networking Group and expand the initiative into a signature annual firm wide event centered on personal and professional development.
A native and current resident of York County, Lakatosh generously contributes her time and talent to a number of community initiatives, including The Salvation Army of York, Junior Achievement of South Central PA, Red Lion Band Parents Club and Guinston Presbyterian Church. Lakatosh has held several leadership roles with The Salvation Army, and helped launch a new fundraiser event, Boots and Bags. Now in its fourth year, Boots and Bags offers networking, lunch and auctions to benefit The Salvation Army’s Youth Services that provide educational supplies and services for kids in need.
Lakatosh holds a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting from Shippensburg University, and resides in York with her family. She will be honored with her fellow 2019 honorees at a June 24, 2019 event at the Hilton Harrisburg. For more information on the “Women of Influence” award program, click here.
