HARRISBURG, PA (September 17, 2020) – RKL LLP is pleased to announce that firm Partner Michael J. Eby, CPA, has been recognized as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2020 “Forty Under 40” honorees. This annual awards program recognizes the region’s outstanding young leaders for their professional accomplishments, community service and commitment to inspiring change.

As a Partner in RKL’s Tax Services Group, Eby serves the federal, state and local tax planning and compliance needs of privately held businesses in industries such as manufacturing, construction, retail and real estate. He has deep experience throughout his 13-year public accounting career consulting on the tax impact of business restructuring and acquisitions and representing and advising clients in state tax controversies. Eby also leads RKL’s tax quality control function, where he develops standard interpretations and applications of regulations and provisions across the firm.
Eby earned his B.S. in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Messiah University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and serves on PICPA’s State and Local Tax Committee.
As an Enola resident and one of RKL’s leaders in the Capital Region, Eby serves his local community through active engagement with his church and Rotary Club of Harrisburg. He also sits on the Advisory Board for Mid Penn Bank Young Professionals and serves as Board President for New Hope Ministries.
