RKL Alumni Connection catches up with Gina Webb, former RKL small business advisor. Read on to find out what Gina’s been up to since leaving RKL and the skills and qualities she developed while at the firm.
Q: What have you been up to lately?
A: “I’m Controller for REH Holdings, Inc. I never thought I would go into public accounting in the first place, but I was drawn to move from private to public early in my career. The chance to move back into private industry was also unexpected but has been a new challenge. On the personal side, I’ve been keeping busy attending my kids’ sports activities and serving as a cheerleading coach.”
Q: How did your RKL experience helped shape your professional journey?
A: “At RKL, you’re offered a lot of opportunities at a young age that help motivate you to stay and develop as a public accountant. The firm provides opportunities to gain more leadership roles. I also valued the experience of learning how to deal with different communication styles and personalities and adapt accordingly.”
Q: What makes RKL a great place to work?
A: “The relationships you form with fellow team members, the flexibility, the community enrichment – the firm encourages you to get out and get involved.”
