As a Partner in RKL’s Tax Services Group, Mike takes an in-depth approach to helping privately held businesses in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and senior living implement tax strategies that achieve their unique goals and objectives. With broad expertise on federal, state and local regulations, Mike advises his clients on the most advantageous positions across the full spectrum of taxation.
In an era of generational transition and corporate consolidation, Mike is often consulted on tax savings measures, business restructuring, and acquisitions with the goal of developing an approach that is both profitable and efficient. He also has deep experience representing and advising clients in tax controversies, including taxing jurisdiction audits, state administrative board hearings and tax compromise negotiations. He is also the firm’s Tax Quality Control leader.
Beyond technical skills, Mike strives to be someone his clients can confide in and considers the highest compliment to be when a business owner considers him an extension of the team.
Mike also serves as Managing Partner of RKL’s Capital Region office, where he oversees general operations and supports the firm’s growth in that footprint.

Personal
Mike and his wife Bethany reside in Mechanicsburg, PA with their three daughters. He enjoys spending time with family, volunteering at his church and playing sports.
