It was at a young age that Stephen Runyeon came to the realization that much of life revolves around the relationship with numbers. This dynamic continues to intrigue him throughout his two decades in accounting.
A Partner in RKL’s Audit Services Group, Steve delivers accounting and consulting services to clients, specializing in audits of publicly and privately held financial institutions ranging in size from de novos (start-up banks) to those with approximately $1.5 billion in assets. He has over 15 years of experience in public accounting and has significant expertise with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Steve also serves as RKL’s Director of Risk Management and Quality Control, responsible for firm wide quality assurance efforts and policies. In this leadership role, Steve focuses on navigating the voluminous and complex rules that regulate the public accounting and consulting industries. Additionally, he educates colleagues on the impact of professional directives and industry developments, and leads the firm’s internal inspection and peer review function.
Whether the client be internal or external, Steve abides by the same open door policy.

PERSONAL
Steve and his wife reside in Myerstown, PA. An avid reader and baseball fan, he enjoys vacationing with his family and participating in sports and outdoor activities.
