LANCASTER, PA (November 12, 2018) – RKL LLP today introduced Michael J. Eby, CPA, Leonard P. Metkowski, JD, EA, CTRS, Carrie J. Booth, CPA, and Johnathon W. Heller, CPA, as the newest senior members of its Tax Services Group. Eby and Metkowski have been admitted to the RKL partnership and Booth and Heller join the firm as Managers.

The addition of Eby, Metkowski, Booth and Heller expands the firm’s expertise in key sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, retail, construction and real estate and specialized disciplines including tax controversy resolution. Eby and Metkowski are well-respected and high-profile business advisors in RKL’s growing footprints in the Capital Region and Greater Philadelphia, while Booth and Heller deepen the firm’s bench in the Reading and York markets.

Michael J. Eby, CPA, brings more than a decade of tax accounting and advisory experience to the RKL partnership. Specializing in pass-through business taxation and state and local tax planning matters, Eby is a thought leader on a variety of business topics, including tax reform. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Since 2015, Eby has served on the State and Local Tax Committees of both PICPA and global accounting firm association Prime Global. Eby holds a B.S. in Accounting from Messiah College He currently sits on the Mid Penn Bank Young Professional Advisory Board and the World Help President’s Council and is Vice President of the New Hope Ministries Board. Eby resides in Enola.
Leonard P. Metkowski, JD, EA, CTRS, joins RKL as a Tax Partner with three decades of accounting, tax, finance and advisory experience. Metkowski’s specialized expertise includes business formations, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, cost segregation, cost analysis, budgeting and strategic planning. He also advises middle market companies, including RIAs and insurance broker/dealers, on general business matters. Metkowski earned his B.S. in accounting and finance from St. Joseph’s University and his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law. He is an Enrolled Agent and holds the Certified Tax Resolution Specialist designation and the Series 65 license. Metkowski resides in Narvon.
Carrie J. Booth, CPA, has held a variety of tax and management roles throughout her 15-year career in public accounting and private industry, with a focus on technical and process-oriented problem solving for both family owned and publicly traded companies. She has served the tax planning and compliance needs of companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, real estate development, property management and hospitality. Booth earned her B.S. in Accounting from Elizabethtown College and is a graduate of the Leadership Lancaster program. She currently resides in Elizabethtown and is relocating to Wyomissing.
Johnathon W. Heller, CPA, brings more than a decade of accounting and project management experience to his role at RKL. Primarily focused on serving small to middle market privately held companies in the healthcare and construction industries, Heller’s expertise includes tax consulting, compliance, outsourced CFO services, pass-through entity planning, multi-state apportionment, financial modeling, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. He is a member of the AICPA and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Heller earned his B.A. in Business Management from Gettysburg College, his M.B.A. from York College of Pennsylvania and his Master’s in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. He resides in York.
